From War to Boudoir, the Waltham 8 day 37 Size.
Tom Mclntyre's presentation focused on the different uses Waltham made of this movement ranging from marine chronometers to banjo clocks. Tom is an avid collector of high-grade watches and his collection can be viewed online at: awco.org. Tom was elected 2nd Vice President of the NAWCC in 2003 and, since then, has served continuously on the Board of Directors. He is heavily involved in the development of the organization with his most recent position being the National Treasurer. Tom retired from the computer sciences sector in 2002.


Luncheon Program:
The Ted Crom Horological Tool Collection: Fifty Years of Documenting the Trades

Chris Barber presented Ted Crom's passion to document the trades and showed some of the highlights of his remarkable collection of more than 2,000 objects. This collection has been described as the most comprehensive private collection of its type in the world. Horology lost a legend on January 18, 2008, and now the entire Crom collection will now be offered at auction by Skinner Inc. on May 1, 2010.

Chris graduated with a BA, history of art and architecture concentrations, from Harvard in 2001. After three years at Christie's, he returned to the Boston area to work at Skinner's American Furniture and Decorative Arts Department. Additionally, Chris is now an auctioneer for Skinner's. Most recently, he is working alongside Robert Cheney in the Science, Technology and Clocks Department.
