Verona Restaurant
Watertown, MA

Special Meeting on a Sunday

Speaker: Andy Dervan

A Pictorial View of American Watch Factories

Andy Dervan traveled from Michigan and we had to change locations to the Verona Restaurant this one time in order to hear him speak.

Andy used picture postcards to highlight the history, growth, and production of twelve American Watch Factories.

Biography: The speaker began collecting clocks shortly after joining the NAWCC in 1997 and found clock collecting fascinating. He has found researching the histories of various makers and companies as challenging and exciting as collecting. He has published articles in NAWCC Bulletin and Clocks Magazine on Waltham Willard banjo clocks, Waltham Clock Co., and U.S. Watch Co. His principal collecting interest is weight driven clocks from late 19th and early 20th Centuries. He supports his clock addiction by working as a chemist for DuPont Performance Coatings.

Directions:
The Verona Restaurant is located at 18 Mount Auburn Street in Watertown Square at the intersection of RT. 20 (Main St) and RT. 16 (Mount Auburn St) about 1/2 mile from the Massachusetts Turnpike exit 17.
